Strut proudly

There are two versions below of a poem (and a number of options).

Which version do you prefer?

Strut proudly

On the fridge of the Escher queen
Her grandson’s art picture was seen
On well-crafted hands
A mirrored orb stands
Reflecting headless robot’s sheen

Alternate version:

Strut proudly

On the fridge of the Escher queen
Her grandson’s art picture was seen
On well-crafted hand
A mirrored orb stand
Reflects a headless robot’s sheen

Or maybe last line:

Globe reflects headless robot’s sheen

Instead of Globe maybe Ball or Sphere?

Which version do you prefer?

Poetry by committee (strutting its stuff)?

Lipson wrote a book ‘I Do Not Itch to Etch : Views in Verse’ ISBN 9780961859107 I think but everywhere I try to download for free they ask for credit card details.

This is brilliant – both artwork and poem! Thank you – I’ll have to show it to my grandson tomorrow

    Globe reflects headless robot’s sheen
is my favorite – I like the slant rhyme of Globe/Robot.

the second version goes with the image better, i guess. without the image, the first one sounds better! and yes, the image is impressive in itself! 🙂
