Empty Gesture – Poem by Robin Harrison
smooth and soft
those little fingers
that wrap around
my soul to float
the way she says
the words just linger
in a crowded mind
like a fastened bind
you brush along
always rushing
i am sitting strong
almost crushing
with little riddles
that ride your eye
and come to play
with feelings
l never say
when you smile
pretty and plastic
l run a mile
in pointless panic
with my world full
of tragic static
l cannot avoid
your barren magic
