No prevarication from those we elect
Keep the promises that you make
Affecting citizens, so much at stake
All you say and much of what you do
Have you not heard of the golden rule
Speaking out of both sides of your mouth
Your perceived as a liar and truly uncouth
Interestingly, we always expect more
Each time someone new has the floor
Honesty integrity sincerity a plus
