Cryptocurrencies are very fragile
Their movements by minute very agile
Don’t buy them less you
Lose your money too

What sort of creature is Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies)?
A very speculative investment at best.
From a high of about $19,500 in December last year (2017), Bitcoin this morning (7.40 am NZ time) was down to under $8500, less than half what it used to be worth. See:

On 3 February Bitcoin went below $8000. See:

From being worth over $1.60, Ripple is now worth less than 85 cents.
Update 10:45 pm (NZT): Bitcoin now under $8000; Ripple less than 80 cents!
Do not invest any money in cryptocurrencies that you cannot afford to lose.

And just before 4.30 pm (NZT), Bitcoin under $8200 and Ripple just over 80 cents.
If you think you want to buy, soon may be a good time although very risky.
